President’s Monthly Minute for February 2012

 

Now that we are into the New Year, the Groundhog has declared more winter….and we haven’t really had one yet! With the weather as it has been…..one hardly knows what Punxsutawney Phil really means. I – for one – am enjoying the mild weather and don’t miss mounds of snow.

 

What we also cannot really know what is happening with the political climate and how the decisions made this year in Annapolis will affect us all. Your legislative committee met this morning and discussed the bills that are being introduced so far this session. We have tried to pull out any that will impact our members so that we can voice our opinions to our elected leaders. Keep checking in on this site for details.

 

In the effort to “Get Connected”, we now have a Facebook page……www.facebook.com/MRSPA1945. We are trying to post information there that is current. Let us know how you like it and be sure to comment where you find postings that interest you. You can also send us articles, photos and ideas.  We try to keep on top of the page and check it often.

 

The first UNIT OF EXCELLENCE AWARD WORKSHEET has arrived at the office. These are due by April 15 and I hope to have one from every local…..so, take a look at what you have been doing this year and let us know.
