Batter up – As part of the festivities celebrating AARP’s 50th anniversary, MRSPA members attended a Baltimore Orioles baseball game at Camden Yards on April 7 against the Seattle Mariners.  

Prior to the start of the game during an on-field ceremony, Eastern Technical High School, a Baltimore County School and the winner of Maryland AARP's Ethel Percy Andrus Legacy Award, was presented with a $10,000 AARP grant to support its teacher education program. 

MRSPA members in attendance included Mary Ruth Meredith, Dr. Ruth Pratt, Chuck and Ann Ridgeway and Betty Ann White .
