Maryland Retired School Personnel Association Scholarship Awards

MRSPA annually presents scholarships to active employees of Maryland Public Schools.  This scholarship will assist them with their goal of attaining Maryland State Department of Education Certification.

IRL AND ELLA BEALL

The first MRSPA scholarships were awarded in 2000 after Irl and Ella Beall, Howard County retired educators, made a bequest of $50,000 to the Association.  As of 2023 a total of 63 scholarships have been awarded.  The MRSPA Foundation is administered by The MRSPA Foundation Board and is managed by Academy Financial.

The Maryland Retired School Personnel Association is the only organization in the state that works exclusively for retired school system personnel.  It has over 12,000 members, with local affiliates in every county and Baltimore City.  MRSPA is affiliated at the national level with NRTA: AARP’s Educator Community.

Congratulations to the 2023 winners!
